TK is owned by Principal Engineers Christopher Krier and Nathan Torres.
Chris and Nate both have a BS in Civil Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO.
Chris also has a MS in Structural Engineering from UC-San Diego in La Jolla, CA.
TK has a presence on both the front range and western slope of Colorado and is licensed in the following states:
AL, CA, CO, FL, HI, ID, LA, ME, NV, NY, OH, OR, TX, UT, & WA.
Nathan Torres
Civil-Structural Design, Management, & Inspections
TK has over 20 years of experience in civil and structural design and construction management, project management, performing inspections (both during and post-construction), and structural calculations for new structures, foundations, and walls to determine the capacity of the built condition. They provide civil and structural design services on projects conforming to CBC, FBC, UBC, IBC, AISC, ASCE, ACI, AASHTO and Caltrans Bridge Design Codes, among others.
They specialize in design of CIP reinforced concrete, PS/PC concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, CMU, and timber structures. This includes all types of bridges, industrial and commercial buildings, earth structures, and custom residential.
FORENSIC ENGINEERING SERVICES
TK has substantial experience in conducting forensic inspections, producing reports of findings, and providing other services for structures damaged during loss events.
TK has performed these services for common events or CAT events such as the 2018 Anchorage Earthquake, and Hurricanes Michael, Laura, Delta, Ida, and Ian.
TK has performed forensic engineering services in Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
